Every bereavement is different and unique

There are different steps to take, depending on the circumstances of your bereavement. We’re here to help with the practical aspects of bereavement, as well as sourcing the emotional support you may need. We will guide you and explain what is happening, whatever situation you find yourself facing.

We are NBS

From finding a reliable funeral director and guiding you through the legal side of bereavement to signposting for bereavement counselling for those coping with grief and mourning. This includes child bereavement and suicide bereavement, as well as providing advice and care to anyone planning ahead in anticipation of their own death.

Emotional support and bereavement care is available to those who need extra help during this challenging time. We’re here to help and find solutions – whatever is needed.

“When a loved one dies it is upsetting and traumatic, but few of us realise how much practical work goes along with it.

“So getting help with the practical aspects of bereavement while you are coping with the emotional impact is vital.

“The National Bereavement Service provides help to people on all the practicalities they need to take at a time when it’s hard to think of anything other than the person that has died.”
